1. Four ten
minute running quarters except the last 1 minute of the first half and the last
2 minutes of the game if the score is within 15 points. Overtime will be
3 minutes and the clock will stop the last 1 minute.
2. Five minute
warmup and 3 minute halftime.
3. High School
Rules Apply unless stated otherwise.
4. There is no
mercy rule but we ask that if you are up by more than 15 that you use good
judgement and not press.
5. The clock
will run during free throws and substitutions.
6. If the first
round games get behind by 30 minutes then we ask the next round of games to
play 8 minute running quarters until we are back on schedule. With
staggered start times at each gym this should not happen. If all teams
arrive promptly and start at the scheduled time the games should not run over
(There are a few teams that only have 15 minutes of travel time between games).
7. We do not
want any forfeits. Teams drive too far to not play. Please borrow
players if needed.
8. Each team
provides one volunteer to do either the clock or the score book.
-
Coaches fill out rosters on score sheet
-
Score keepers record all fouls, baskets, free
throws, and time outs. (Each team 2 30 seconds and 3 full time outs)
-
Clock worker - runs clock, post score, and jump
ball arrow.
Please use the volunteer worker's passes for
your parents who help at the score's table so they will not be charged.
